A mentor is most simply; a role model, coach, sounding board, voice of reason, wise counsellor, trusted resource and genuine friend.
She/he could be a family member, a family friend or someone identified and trusted by the HVC leadership. They will be a person known and trusted by you and your family.
Participate in growing the next generation in wisdom.
We can achieve effective mentoring through a positive and supportive friendship. Friendship is built on trust, respect, understanding and accountability among many things. Moreover, the mentor shares her/his faith, knowledge, life skills and experiences to encourage a young person in her/his own faith and personal development.
